Clues:

The Frenchman’s castle lies just off WI Hwy 21, between the small hamlet of Arkdale and the larger town of Coloma, very near to the Waushara/Adams County border. If your horses are heading west, you should keep your eyes to the right for a picnic area sign (just pictures, as most of the townsfolk are illiterate). You will know the castle when you see it, as it is very tall. The English have been here before you, spray-painting their taunts on the castle walls.

Gallop into the picnic area and rein your horses all the way to the left. You will find the Frenchman at his post – the second post from the left, that is, closest to the castle. If you stand at the second post, the Frenchman will be directly in front of you, sniggering under the roots of a birch tree growing on one of the lower castle walls. Be sure to stone him good before you leave him, so you will not be taunted a second time.

If you require a night’s lodgings after this harrowing encounter, there is a Camelot Motel nearby on Hwy Z!!!! I do not jest.
