Chromo-Kinetic Art

Our other project is "Chromo-Kinetic Art".  Attatched to a motor that moves at about 9 RPM's, is a piece of polaroid paper.  This is then rigged up to the head of the overhead.  On the overhead surface is a sandwich of Plexiglas, polaroid paper, some saran wrap, and more Plexiglas.  Light coming from the overhead is cut into one plane by the first sheet of polaroid paper, the light is then refracted by the saran wrap, finally the light is cut in half yet again by the other polaroid paper that is spinning.  After all of the cutting and refracting, the light ends up being a psychedelic trip.  Click on the pictures for more detail; as with the other page the pictures are pretty big, so any narrow-band users are warned.
