How to build your own Sierpinski's Pyramid

Supplies Needed:

Instructions:                   

  1. Copy the pyramid patterns on heavy paper. You will need the following numbers of pyramids:
    • Stage 0: 1
    • Stage 1: 4
    • Stage 2: 16
    • Stage 3: 64
    • Stage 4: 256
    • Stage 5: 1024
    • Stage 6: 4096
  2. Cut pyramid patterns along solid lines.
  3. Score patterns along dotted lines.
  4. Fold patterns along scored lines.
  5. Glue tabs to inside to form pyramids.
  6. Score strips along dotted lines.
  7. Cut strips along solid lines.
  8. Fold strips along scored lines.
  9. Use strips to connect pyramids (or stages) vertex to vertex.
  10. Repeat to form next stages. 
  11. Admire and enjoy your artwork.
